3 Skills I Used to Make Money on Fiverr For Free

Making money on Fiverr as a newbie is hard!

I know that because I started freelancing on Fiverr as a newbie after working a bit on Upwork.

While some used money to Kickstart their Fiverr career and got the sales rolling, many others who aren’t as financially bouyant were left wallowing on Fiverr streets.

I was fortunate enough to start getting traction on Fiverr without paying through my nose.

Using my skills, I was able to start making money within the first month of signing up for a Fiverr account.

In fact, in my first 3 months on Fiverr, I made over 1 million naira.

That should tell you that it is possible to make good money on Fiverr, but you have to know what you’re doing in the first place.

Through my experience, I’d say that without other allied digital skills, it would be difficult for anyone to start making money on Fiverr.

So, here, I want to detail the few skills that helped me achieve a fast start on Fiverr and how you can do the same.

Keyword Research

The first and most important skill that helped me kickstart my Fiverr career is Keyword Research.

The Fiverr platform works like any other search engine algorithm.

It ranks offers based on a few performance metrics as well as favoring long-tail and trending keywords.

I knew what I was doing and I worked hard to exploit that by finding new keywords and capitalizing on the weaknesses of other freelancers.

It worked like a charm and in my first six months on the platform, I was able to rank all my gigs on the first page.

I had so many orders that I had to overprice my gigs while rejecting many orders.

If you’ve been following my blog, you’d know that copywriting is my bread and butter.

I really love writing copies!

And I used that to sell my gigs as much as possible.

I wrote captivating gig descriptions and made enticing offers that brought me orders on a daily basis.

At one time, I had a twenty percent conversion rate for clients who visited my gig pages.

If you don’t know that’s in the 90th percentile.

Video Editing

Statistics shows that Fiverr gigs with videos in their description achieve three time conversion.

That should tell you that having a video on your Fiverr gig is definitely a game changer!

And I used it to skyrocket my Fiverr rankings and conversion.

My video editing skills came in handy and helped me shoot and edit a compelling video that not only talked about what I would help clients do, but also offered them irresistible results.
